We study molecular mechanisms of biosynthesis, recognition and regulation that underlie biological processes within the complexity of the extracellular matrix using an integrative structural biology approach. We are part of the Structural Biology Groups active in the Department of Biology and Biotechnology at the University of Pavia. New Matrix Biology paper on the molecular characterization of an altered lysyl hydroxylase 1 isoform responsible for kyphoscoliotic Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, in collaboration with Fransiska Malfait and Delfien Syx in Ghent.
